SiLes Langston

Mrs. Langston has been an employee of Lubbock-Cooper for the past 14 years. She currently serves as the Middle School Counselor. Through her Counselor responsibilities, she works with teachers and grade level teams to implement a mentoring program for students at risk of failing the TAKS test, sets up staffings, provides the needed TAKS data to all teachers to assist in individualizing classroom instruction, develops Personal Graduation Plans, TAKS testing coordinator, and scheduling . She also assists the students with any concerns they may have during the school year, and encourages student achievement, appropriate social behavior, and positive attitudes.
Mrs. Langston received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Lubbock Christian University in 1994. She has taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade history for ten years and is currently working on her fourth year as the Middle School Counselor. She is currently working on her Master of Education/Administration degree at Lubbock Christian University. In 2005, Mrs. Langston received the Excellence in Education Award for the Jr. High campus.
Mrs. Langston is married to Jon and they have three children, Tait, Tanner, and Taylor.
